Step off the plane into Malaga’s embrace, warmed by some 200 days of sun a year. The city is your canvas, ancient history blending seamlessly with modern allure. As evening falls, we set sail on a sunset cruise to connect with each other and the stars above.
The mountains of Antequera beckon as we journey by train into their folds. We explore the enigmatic Menga Dolmen, perfectly aligned to herald the summer solstice. Come afternoon, the Alcazaba fortress stands as a sentinel to history, followed by dinner featuring Andalusian treats like tapas and gazpacho.
A scenic train ride shifts our stage to Granada. We drop our bags and ascend into the celestial Alhambra, connecting with medieval astronomers whose eyes, like ours, turned skyward. Dinner becomes a shared journey, as rich and varied as the constellations.
Morning light guides us into the Sierra Nevada’s towering peaks, our eyes on the celestial dome above and the Alhambra below. After a shared lunch among these skyscraping vistas, we’ll descend back to Granada for a free evening.
Switching gears, we switch into cars to drive back to the coast. Along the way, we stop in Gorafe, home to Megalithic dolmens with cosmic significance. What celestial clues did they leave in their burials? We then cruise into Almeria, and after dinner, it’s off to star-gazing at Cabo de Gata, one of Europe’s darkest skies.
A day of beach-side relaxation. After the late-night cosmic adventures of the previous night, take some time to explore Almeria. Bask on the sun-drenched beaches, or explore Almeria’s intricate cathedrals and forts. As one of the warmest and driest cities in Europe, you’ll be able to decompress and relax.
We drive to the mountainside town of Totana to explore the enigmatic La Bastida, an abandoned Bronze Age civilization whose mysterious abandonment puzzles archaeologists to this day. Why did they vanish under the same stars we gaze upon? We’ll explore the site and learn about how they and similar civilizations navigated the stars. Dinner and a less formal stargazing session cap the night.
We take a short drive to Cartagena, wandering through Roman ruins and contemplating the cosmic connections the ancients made in their art and architecture. Then it’s back to Totana for another night.
On our final day, we journey to Murcia. The city offers a blend of history and modernity, a last chance to explore and reflect on our celestial pilgrimage. Our final trip into history, we’ll visit Murcia’s massive archaeological site in the center of the city. As evening descends, a final group dinner lets us connect a final time before going our own ways.
After our final day and final night, you’ll make your way to wherever you call home. Either by flying out of Murcia or by taking a quick high-speed rail train to Madrid with connections to anywhere in the world.

Everest Base Camp is the starting point for climbers attempting to summit Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. It is located at an altitude of approximately 5,364 meters (17,598 feet) above sea level in the Khumbu region of Nepal.
The most common way to reach Everest Base Camp is by trekking from Lukla, a small mountain airstrip in Nepal. You can take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and start your trek from there. The trek usually takes around 12-14 days round trip.
While previous trekking experience can be helpful, it is not mandatory. The Everest Base Camp trek is challenging but can be undertaken by anyone with a good level of fitness and a strong determination to complete the journey.
The best time for the Everest Base Camp trek is during the pre-monsoon (spring) season (March to May) and post-monsoon (autumn) season (September to November). During these months, the weather is relatively stable, and the skies are clear, providing breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
